Islam al Khatib

Islam al Khatib is a Palestinian researcher and doctoral candidate at the LSE. Her work sits at the intersection of surveillance, knowledge production, and global tech infrastructures. As part of the Mapping Connections project, she traces how China’s AI and tech industrial policies are being co-shaped across the Arab region. Through supply chain mapping, policy analysis, and interviews, she examines how cloud architectures, manufacturing zones, and tech investments are redrawing geopolitical alignments and rewriting the rules of industrial policy from the ground up.
